Obituary of Sylvia G. Gorin

Sylvia G. Gorin, age 89, of Wappingers Falls, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at The Pines At Poughkeepsie. Sylvia was born January 10, 1928 in Bronx, NY. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Dorothy (Neuman) Goldstein.  She married Eli Gorin on March 25, 1951 in New York City.

Sylvia was employed by All State Insurance as an Office Manager. 

Sylvia was a member of B'nai B' rith and Hadassah. She was a volunteer EMT and a long-time member of the Temple Beth El Minyan group.  Sylvia's children and grandchildren were a big part of her life, she loved to travel, knitting and crocheting, and always loved eating out at fine restaurants.

She is survived by her husband  Eli Gorin of Wappingers Falls, NY, her daughter Jaclyn and son in-law Kenneth Kahn of Poughkeepsie, NY, her  two sons: Spencer and his wife Joni Rubinstein of Tucson, AZ and Daniel and his wife Nina Uzick of Olney, MD. Sylvia is also survived by her six grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 12pm Friday May 5, 2017 at Temple Beth-El, 118 South Grand Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will follow the services at the Temple Beth El Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
