Obituary of Carole J Burhans

Carole J Burhans, age 85, of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Lutheran Care Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. Carole was born February 13, 1932 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of Earl and Ada (Foster) Beneway. Carole was a local resident most of her life. She was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and Albany Medical School of Nursing. She retired in 1997 from Eden Park Nursing Home where she worked as a LPN. Carole was a member of the Washington Street Methodist Church which is now know as the Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church. She loved to work on cross word puzzels, read and watch TV. She is survived by her son Roger Burhans and his wife Christine of Spencer, Mass., daughter Cynthia Cray and her husband Robert of Berkley Heights, NJ., son Christopher Burhans of Melbourne Florida, her grandchildren Jessica and Ryan Burhans, Pamela Cray and great grandson Easton Burhans. There will be a memorial service 10:30am on Saturday June 3, 2017 at the Lutheran Care Center. Burial of Carole's cremains will follow at Union Cemetery Hyde Park, New York.
