Obituary of James Perrotta

James Perrotta, age 84, of Poughkeepsie, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. James was born July 18, 1932 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Joseph Rocco and the late Geraldean (DeHart) Perrotta. He married Mary Ellen Burnett on February 5, 1956 at St. Mary's Church Poughkeepsie.

He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. James retired in 1991 from Local 1000 Poughkeepsie New York.

James was a Life Member of the Pirate Canoe Club, a member of American Legion Post 1302 and Wappingers VFW Post 5913..

James was a local resident all his life, he loved to do woodworking, loved to ride his lawn mower around cutting grass and riding the kids around.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen (Burnett) Perrotta of Poughkeepsie, NY., son and daughter In-law, Thomas and Kathy Perrotta of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; son and daughter In-law, Dennis and Kelly Perrotta of Poughkeepsie, NY; son and daughter In-law, Brian and Laurie Perrotta of Hyde Park, NY; son and daughter In-law, Gary and Willie Perrotta of Lagrange, NY; daughter and Son In-law, Karen and Mike Marcojohn of Poughkeepsie, NY; brother and Sister In-law, Fred and Kathy Perrotta of Poughkeepsie, NY; sister and Brother In-law, Dolores and George Vicari of Poughkeepsie, NY; sister In Law, Shirley Perrotta of Hyde Park, NY; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Jimmy was predeceased by his brother and sister In-law Joseph and Lou Perrotta, and brother, Robert Perrotta.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
