Obituary of Henry W. MacConel Jr.
Henry W. MacConel, Jr., age 41, of Poughkeepsie, died suddenly Monday, June 5, 2017 at home in Poughkeepsie. Henry was born October 1, 1975 in Rhinebeck, NY. He is the son of Henry W. MacConel Sr. and Deborah A. (Doyle) MacConel.
Henry was employed by CB Strain & Sons Inc. as a Plumber/Steamfitter for many years.
Henry was a member of the Local Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union. He was a local resident all his life. Henry was a graduate of Roosevelt High School Class of 1993 and also attended Dutchess Community College.
Henry loved boating on the Hudson River, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, loved to play basketball and enjoyed his many home renovation projects. Most of all he loved spending time with his daughter.
He is survived by one daughter: Erin T. MacConel of Hyde Park, NY; his mother Deborah A. (Doyle) MacConel of Pine Plains, NY., his father and step mother Henry W. and Anne MacConel Sr. of Rotunda, Florida., his brother and sister in-law, James Thomas and Danielle MacConel of Beekman, NY. and his brother and his companion Gavin Patrick MacConel and Katherine Ventura of Poughkeepsie, NY. Henry is also survived by his grandmother, Hedwig Holl of Poughkeepsie, NY; his aunt and uncle, Marti and Ronald Steed of Pine Plains, NY., uncle and aunt, Wayne and Marie VanSteenbergh of Salt Point, NY; nephew, Cameron MacConel and niece, Aubrey MacConel along with his cousins.
Henry was predeceased by his grandparents Roger Doyle and Mabel Doyle Volino along with his aunt, Noreen Reilly.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 9, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Our Lady Of The Rosary Church St. Peters Parish, 185 Hudson View Drive, Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
