Obituary of Joanne S. Reddington

Joanne S. Reddington passed away at home June 21, 2017. She was born to the late John and the late Stella Lukanuski Pekar on November 22, 1938 in Easton, Pa. On April 8, 1961 she married Tom Reddington at Holy Cross Church in New York City.

Sne graduated with honors from Bangor, Pa. High School where she was a Varsity basketball player. Joanne worked at Saks Fifth Ave. NYC, Pan American Airways NYC, Freehold NJ Answering Service, Arlington School District, Vassar Brothers Hospital and she retired from Pawling Corporation.

Joanne was a loving wife and mother and she was proud of her Ukrainian heritage. Joanne will be dearly missed by all.

Joanne is survived by her husband Tom and they had six children, Jeanne Lloyd and her husband Fred of Kingston, NY., Christine Robinson and her husband Dane of Poughkeepsie, NY., Stephen Reddington and his wife Fran of Hampton Bays, NY., Mary Caldwell and her husband Jeff of St. Augustine, Florida and she was predeceased by her daughter Susan Thompson and son Tommy Reddington. Joanne is also survived by her twelve grandchildren Peder, Catherine and Anna Thompson, James and Charlotte Lloyd, Matthew and his wife Jasmine, Ryan, Zachary and Patrick Robinson, Christina Reddington, Owen and Shayna Caldwell. Great grandson Eli Robinson and son in-law Wayne Thompson of Poughkeepsie, NY. Joanne had five sisters Helen Tabacinski of Bangor, Pa., Becky Frable of North Hampton, Pa., Sonia Buist of Bangor, Pa. and she was predeceased by Catherine Miller and Gaynal Kidd.

Calling hours will be held Sunday June 25, 2017 from 2pm to 6pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Monday June 26, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church 775 Main Street Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family
