There are no goodbyes for us Wherever you are, you will always be in the heart of Poughkeepsie Medical Group Physicians and Staff who worked with Dr Gerber. I never worked with him, but I inherited all his patients 16 years ago when he decided to move to Heart Center to practice Cardiology.

It was with a sad heart that I heard about the passing of Dr. Glen Gerber. I was a patient of Dr. Gerber's for the pass twenty years, and I will always be grateful to him for what he did for me. My condolences go out to his wife and family.

My sincere condolences to Dr. Gerber's family and friends. I am very saddened to hear of his passing today. He has been missed here at the hospital. I specifically have missed my conversations with him about weather and Horses at Saratoga. He will always be a part of my memories from over my past 15 years here at VBMC.

Dr Gerber was my primary years ago. For several years we met as needed and in addition to excellent care we always had a few moments for conversation. Then some years later he became my cardiologist, and again I received excellent care and again always some wonderful conversation. He was the one after two years of tests who diagnosed that I needed stents in my femoral arteries; brilliant. I am saddened with his death. A very good man, and an excellent doctor.

Dr. Glen Gerber was a very well-respected member of the medical staff at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was the recipient of the Physician of the Year award in 1999. Dr. Gerber was one of the first physicians to come into the hospital library and show me his new smartphone. "Can we get the library on this?", he asked. "Yes, you can!", I replied, and he was thrilled. We all knew him to be a genuinely kind and personable cardiologist who will be greatly missed.

Am so sorry to read of Dr Gerber's passing. He was a fine cardiologist. My mother and stepfather were his patients for over20 years. May his memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him
