I got to know Frank in 1996 after opening my new business in the Cast Iron Building right across Main St from the Green Grocer. He was my main man for mid morning coffee and occasional lunch. He was one of my big supporters in the early formative years of my business. He also introduced my to the "Power Table" members; Judge Judy, Len Zimmer, Bud, Bob Case, and others. Frank always brought a smile to my face when we crossed paths on the side walks of Main Str discussing latest event political in Poughkeepsie. We served together on the Main St Revitalization Committee, myself at his encouragement. When we held the bike races through downtown he was a very strong supporter commenting to me that those were his best days business wise he had (bike racers always hungry and thirsty) Frank even set out bottles of water on ice gratis for the racers and spectators. When i think of Poughkeepsie i will always remember Frank. Rest in peace my friend. Pete Hubbell

I'm very sorry to hear of Frank's passing. I patronized his Green Grocer deli for many years. He worked hard to improve the city of Poughkeepsie, being a very involved & caring citizen. Unfortunately the city doesn't seem to have men of Frank's caliber around now. Rest in peace, and deepest sympathy to his family.
