Obituary of William A. Butler

William A. Butler, II, age 72, of Lagrange, died Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. April 16, 1945 in Yonkers, NY. He is the son of the late William A. and the late Irene (Dumchak) Butler. Bill was married to Angela M Sblendorio on December 14, 1969 at the Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx. Bill was a local resident since 1973, previously of Yonkers, New York. Bill served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a graduate with a Masters Degree from Mercy College. He was a retired Manager for A T & T and after retirement Bill was a Counselor at St. Francis Hospital. Bill was a member of the Lagrange Fire Department Station 1, he was a certified NYS EMT and a CISD. Bill was also a member of Saint Kateri Church. In his spare time he loved to golf and do gardening. Bill is survived by his wife Angela M. Butler of Lagrangeville, NY., his two daughters Marie Butcher and her husband John of Pleasant Valley, NY., Jennifer Butler of Great Falls, Montana., his son William A. Butler III of Poughkeepsie, NY., his two grandchildren Jessica and Michael Butcher and his two sisters Arlene Skaf, Janice Kobza and brother James Butler. Calling Hours will be held Wednesday September 6, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Thursday September 7, 2017 at Saint Kateri Route 82 Lagrangeville, NY. Burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
