Obituary of John Howard Wallace

John Howard Wallace 79 of Staatsburg passed away on Friday October 20, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born in Poughkeepsie, New York on May 22, 1938 John was the son of Richard Horton and Mary Latten.

John was a local resident all of his life. He protected his country by serving in the United States Army. John worked for Lombardi and Son's in Highland New York. He loved working on cars and loved to play Pool.

On February 2, 1995 in the Town of Poughkeepsie John married Margaret Morrison, she survives at home.

John is survived by his children Patty Jessup of Lagrange, NY., Mary Poskitt and her husband Steven of Barto, Fl., Sharon Terrelonge and her husband Bruce of Wappingers, NY., Stephanie Wallace of Wappingers, NY., John H. Wallace Jr. and his wife Doreen of Tallahassee, Fla.,  Tonja Jones and her husband Chuck of Colorado. John is also survived by several stepchildren, several grand and great grandchildren and his sister Virginia Parasella of Albany, New York.

John is predeceased by his brother Joseph Wallace.

Visitation will be held Tuesday October 24, 2017 from 4pm to 6pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
