Obituary of Maxine O Lee

Maxine O. Lee 84 of the Town of Poughkeepsie passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017.
Born May 29, 1933 in Staten Island, she was the daughter of the late James and the late Pearl Lawson Fletcher.
On July 16, 1960, in New York City, Maxine married Gim E. Lee.
Maxine has been a local resident since 1960, previously from Staten Island, New York.
Maxine was a long-time member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in which she taught Sunday School. She was a Sr. Girl Scout, danced classical ballet, worked at The Singer Sewing Company, was a buyer at Bloomingdales, played tennis, and was a Mary Kay Beauty consultant. She enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting, playing piano, and, most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren.
Maxine is survived by her husband Gim at home, her daughter Diana Lee-Tuan and her husband James of Poughkeepsie, her daughter Susan Lee of Poughkeepsie, her son Jeffrey Lee and his wife Tracey of Utica, and her daughter Cynthia Leung and her husband Steven of Poughkeepsie, her grandchildren Keith Tuan, Kelsey Tuan, Johnathan Leung, Joseph Leung, Benjamin Leung and Tommy Leung, brother David Fletcher, and sisters Diana Chenn, Melorose Quan, and Vivian Fletcher.
Maxine was predeceased by her brother Paul Fletcher and sister June Fletcher.
There will be a one hour visitation at St. John's Lutheran Church on Wilbur Blvd. Poughkeepsie, New York on Thursday, November 9th at 10am with a service to follow at 11am. She will be laid to rest at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, New York.
In lieu of flowers, Maxine would appreciate donations to the St. John's Lutheran Church Handbell Choirs.
