Obituary of Roy R. Wrighton

Roy R. Wrighton 69 of Pleasant Valley died January 4, 2018 at home.

Roy was born in Plymouth, NC on March 13, 1948 he was the son of Monroe J. Wrighton and Berla Patrick.

Roy was a 30 year local resident previously from Nyack, New York.

Roy was a Porter Maintenance Coach at Abilities First in Poughkeepsie. He loved to play his Guitar, loved to Bowl and Fish.

Roy is Survived by his two sons Troy and Roy Jr. Wrighton, sisters Vivian Wright,  Sadie Jones, Rose Marie Moore,  Mary Pickett, Annette Jerrigan, Patricia Conquest, Elsie Fleming and V and his brother, Jimmy Wright and Woodrow Wrighton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Roy was Predeceased by two sisters Lucy Mae Wright, Teresa Wright and a brother Joseph Wright.

Calling hours will be held Saturday January 13, 2018 from 1pm to 2pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral

Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm. Burial will beprivate and at the convenience of the family.
