Obituary of Donald R. Whiteley

Donald Robert Whiteley of Poughkeepsie died January 12, 2018 at the Jacobi Medical Center.

Born in Poughkeepsie New York on April 1, 1953 he was the son of the late Joyce Marie Whiteley.

Donald was a local resident all of his life, he attended schools in Wappingers and was also a Veteran of the United States Army.

Donald loved to Fish, hunt and was a avid baseball fan.

Donald is survived by his sister and brother in-law Bonnie Lee and Timothy Horton of Hyde Park, New York, several aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.

Donald was predeceased by his son Donald Robert Whiteley Jr.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday January 23, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Castle Point VA Hospital 41 Castle Point Road Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
