Obituary of Donna M. Cruger Miller

Donna M. Cruger Miller, 65, of Pleasant Valley, NY passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.  Born on December 31, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Tom and late Barbara Cruger.  She was a 1971graduate of Ketcham High School.  Donna enjoyed a little wild and crazy mixed with calm and quiet.  In her early years she and great friends traveled a bit, spending time in Florida, Georgia and Rhode Island.  One notable feat she loved to talk about was her attending the 1969 Woodstock Festival.  She calmed a bit and started a family.  She loved spending time with her daughter Krista and husband Rich and other family in the Adirondacks and beaches. Donna loved gardening, flowers, she was a fan of humming birds, seagulls and birds in general, nature and the Adirondacks.  She was very proud of her daughter's education and career path.  Donna had many friends she acquired through working as a bar tender in her early years and being an Avon representative.  She enjoyed helping all and befriending most.  Donna was a devoted wife, mother, sister and daughter.  We'd like to thank you all.  Donna is survived by her husband Richard Miller, daughter Krista Jean Miller, her brother Michael (Melanie), nieces and nephews and her sister-in-laws Linda Short, Carol Holliday, Nancy Miller, Susan De Michael and Pat Cook.  In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her daughter Donna Marie Miller, her brother Tommy and sister Barbara Diane.  She will be missed by all who knew her.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 12pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peter's Parish.  Burial will be at the convenience of the Family in St. Peter's Cemetery.  The Family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Sparrow's Nest.  To send online condolences, please visit our website at www.doylefuneralhome.com
