I worked with and for Ray for many years and he never spoke of his military service or awards. He was a humble and gentle man and his family has every reason to be proud of Ray and his many accomplishments. It was an honor to know Ray and work with him, truly one of the finest gentlemen I ever knew. God bless you Ray and your entire family.

Dear Terri Rae and family:
Mary Lou and I regret that we cannot be there to personally express our condolences to you. Needless to say that you will be in our thoughts and prayers. When Paul called and broke the news to us of Ray's death, so many good memories came flooding into my mind, the visits to 24 N. Jackson Drive to the firehouse, visits to our home, the stories and our conversations. I know he will be missed.
Your Dad (and grandfather) was one of my heroes. I am sure you saw in him his love, his wisdom and his concern for those around him. His life was centered on family, his work, and his church. He was truly an example of how to live a balanced and full life. He will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

My condolences to the family, no one can prepare us for the grief we experience when we lose a loved one, at 1 Peter 5:7 we are encouraged to "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." Losing a loved one is difficult but with comfort we receive from God by relying on him, a person can gain "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding..."( Phillipians 4:6,7) I want you to know that although missed your loved one is not forgotten and God who is the life giver is eager to restore life to those who have fallen asleep in death and promises to do so by means of a ressurection. ( John 5:28,29)

Ray was a person you were proud to know and have as a friend. He was a faithful member of St Martin de Porres parish. He lent his engineering experiences to the school's students as a Math Counts consultant, enthusiastically involved in their projects and a great supporter of the teacher/moderator. Ray was a proud Manhattan College Jasper and a good friend to the Christian Brothers there. We miss his cheerful greeting at the 5:00pm Mass.
