It's hard to believe that I was introduced to Sal, Carole, Dennis & Donna over 50 years ago. As I'd said in my comments after Carole's passing, I spent so much time at their house on Albert Road, that Carole named me "son number two". As I remember things (in my old age), Carole was the more vocal, demonstrative one. Sal had a quiet and thoughtful manner. Being 15/16 year old know-it-alls, the gang who used to hang w/Denny at their home, myself included, grew to realize after spending any time at all around Sal, that no, we did NOT know everything and over time came to appreciate, even seek out his wisdom. Condolences to the family.

My condolences to the family, no one can prepare us for the grief we experience when we lose a loved one, at 1 Peter 5:7 we are encouraged to "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." Losing a loved one is difficult but with comfort we receive from God by relying on him, a person can gain "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding..."( Phillipians 4:6,7) I want you to know that although missed your loved one is not forgotten and God who is the life giver is eager to restore life to those who have fallen asleep in death and promises to do so by means of a ressurection. ( John 5:28,29)
