Obituary of Linda Carol Hendricks

Linda " Lindlu" Carol Hendricks, 73 of New Paltz passed away Monday February 5, 2018 at VBMC in Poughkeepsie.

Linda retired from Department of Transportation on Burnett Blvd., Poughkeepsie.  Linda loved Motown Music and R & B Classics as well as attending Concerts.  Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda was born in Newburgh NY on May 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Bernard R. Rose and the late Esther “Sam” Whiting.

Linda was a graduate of FDR of Hyde Park, NY and graduated Ulster County Community College of Stone Ridge, NY

She was predeceased by her son Christopher Paul Hendricks in 1969.  Survivors include her sister Margaret Rose of Pennsylvania; Four children - Darla Steinhauer of Poughkeepsie; Michael Hendricks, Monica Hendricks and Jermaine Prince all of Connecticut.  Linda is also survived by her 20 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren as well as other relative and friends

There will be a Memorial Service at 12:30pm Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie NY

In lieu of flowers – donations may be made in memory of Linda C Hendricks to the American Heart Association or Dutchess County SPCA (due to Linda’s love of animals.

The Family would like to sincerely thank all the doctors and nurses in the VBMC ICU for all their caring and support.
