Obituary of Laura Bowman
Laura Bowman 78 of Hyde Park passed away peacefully on February 22, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family under the compassionate care of Hudson Valley Hospice.
Laura was born on July 5, 1939 to the late Earl H. Bowman and Marion Caruso Bowman in Poughkeepsie, NY.
A Lifelong area resident, Laura graduated from F.D. R. High School in Hyde Park Class of 1959. She embarked on a 50 year successful career in banking, starting at Fallkill National Bank in Poughkeepsie becoming one of the first female Officers in New York State. She went on to hold various Bank Operations Managerial positions, retiring from TD Bank.
Laura is survived by her sister Mary (John) Conlin of Hyde Park, NY., brothers Earl J. Bowman with whom she made her home in Hyde Park, NY. and Howard (Pat)Bowman of Santa Clara, California. Laura is also survived by an Aunt, two Uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family is thankful to the staff at Hudson Valley Hospice for their generous care.
Calling Hours will be held Tuesday February 27, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Wednesday February 28, 2018 at St. Mary's/St. Joseph Church Poughkeepsie, New York. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to Hudson Valley Hospice 374 Violet Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY of to Cure Alzheimer's Association.
