Obituary of Ann K. Quinlan
Ann K. Quinlan, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, died peacefully at home on June 28, 2018.
She was born on November 12, 1929 in the Bronx, NY to the late Michael J. and Mildred M. Kennedy. Ann began her professional career as a secretary at IBM World Trade in Manhattan. After raising her family in Poughkeepsie, she worked at Vassar Brothers Hospital and later part-time at The Manor at Woodside.
Ann was a parishioner of the Church of St. Martin de Porres in Poughkeepsie. She enjoyed many hobbies and most of all, her family and friends.
Ann is survived by her loving children, Darcy Quinlan, Michael Quinlan, Diane (Thomas) Curtin and George (Silvia) Quinlan. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, John and Augie Curtin and Patrick, Mariana and Mili Quinlan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Valerie Quinlan, and her sister, Jane Mulroy.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Church of St. Martin de Porres, Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will follow at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
