Obituary of Elsa M. Henrich
Elsa M. Henrich of Poughkeepsie Died Sunday July 29, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in the Bronx on September 22, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Max and the late Marie Huck Mayer and stepdaughter of Herman Schneider.
In 1949 Elsa married Joseph Henrich. He predeceased her in 1991.
Elsa was a devoted and loving mother and extremely proud of her family. She loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her.
Elsa is survived by her four children: son Kenneth Henrich and fiance Kerry of Wading River NY, son and daughter-in-law Bob and Donna Henrich of NY Sinai NY, daughter and
son-in-law Debra and Walter Friedrich of Clinton Corners NY and daughter and son-in-law
Patti and Roger Gildersleeve of New Paltz NY; eight grandchildren: Brian & Jennifer (Mario), Heather (Anthony) & Rob (Note), Amanda (Tim) & Grant, Amy & Alexa and two great grandchildren: Emma & Evan.
In addition to her love of family, Elsa was a passionate dog lover, loved camping and playing cards.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday August 1, 2018 from 3pm to 6pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave.
Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A Prayer service will follow at 6pm.
There will be a Graveside service for Elsa at 11:30am on Thursday August 2, 2018 at the Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, NY.
Memorial donations in Elsa's name can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 55 Wilbur Blvd Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
