Obituary of Eileen Shea

Eileen F. Shea, 77, of Hyde Park, NY passed away at home on Monday, August 20, 2018.  Eileen was born in Beacon, NY on December 18, 1940 to the late John J. and the late Elizabeth A. Senchack Antalek.  She was a graduate of Beacon High School and St. Francis School of Nursing.  She worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie from 1967 until retiring in 2011.  Eileen was a member of St. John's Church in Beacon and she enjoyed doing needle point, reading, gardening, her grandchildren and loved to travel.  Eileen is survived by her daughter Kathleen Shea of LaGrangeville, NY and her daughter and son-in-law Colleen and Sean Marland of Swansboro, NC.  Also surviving are her sisters; Rose Farrell of Beacon, NY and Marie Smith of Fishkill, NY, her brothers; James and his wife Fay Antalek of Kinderhook, NY, Andy Antalek of Beacon, NY and Robert and his wife Michelle Antalek of Beacon, NY.  Additionally, Eileen is survived by her grandchildren Dalton Shea of LaGrangeville and Theresa and Zachary Marland of Swansboro, as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Kelly Marie Shea and her sister Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Russell on June 27, 2016.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 5:00 -8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00am at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, 31 Willow St., Beacon, NY and burial will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery in Beacon.  To send online condolences, or directions, please visit our website at www.doylefuneralhome.com
