Obituary of Mark Steven Fusaro

Mark Steven Fusaro, 61, of the Town of Hyde Park, passed peacefully on Friday November 9, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. 

Born on July 29, 1957 in Poughkeepsie, New York, he is predeceased by his parents, Dominick and Rita (nee Forcina) Fusaro. 

Mark touched the hearts of many and was beloved by all who knew him.  He worked as a carrier for Quest Diagnostic Labs, and was blessed to have an abundance of long-term friends and co-workers. Mark was a lifelong area resident, and a graduate of Roosevelt High School.  He attended BOCES, loved to work on cars and enjoyed cooking for the family.

Mark is survived by the love of his life, Maggie Brink of Hyde Park, and her children Missy, Alecia, Alan, Jenny, Heather, their spouses, as well as 10 grandchildren of Hyde Park, NY; brother Dominick "Dean" Fusaro and wife Elsa of Florida; sister Joiena Fusaro of Florida; nephews Darren, Nicholas, and great nephew Alexander, of Florida; and a large extended family, including Nancy Spilbor and husband John of LaGrangeville; Virginia Lewis and husband Gene of Las Vegas; Pearl Morris and Rose Townsend of Wappinger Falls; Louise Salerno and husband Joe of Phoenix; Eugene Fusaro and wife Bernadette of Poughkeepsie; Mary Gunn of Poughkeepsie; together with cousins Gina Cadwallader of Phoenix, Patricia Quint of Phoenix, Lisa Quint of Kingston, Jonna Spilbor of Poughkeepsie, Marla Morris of Wappinger Falls, Tina Fusaro of Phoenix, Danielle Fusaro of Poughkeepsie, and Tammy LeFevre of Poughkeepsie. 

Mark’s family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice for the loving care and support they provided to Mark and his family in his final days.  “His wings were ready, but our hearts were not.”

Burial and Services will be private and at the convenience of the family at St. Peter's Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York.
