Obituary of George R. Piraino

George R. Piraino of Poughkeepsie, New York passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2018. A lifelong area resident, George was born in Poughkeepsie, New York on September 19, 1924 to the late Domenic Piraino and Angelina Sassone. After high school George went on to serve in the US Army, serving from 1942 to 1944. George married Margaret Ulbrandt at the church of Mount Carmel in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1946. George is survived by his sister, Edith Bracone of Florida, and Domenic Piraino of  Texas, son Marc Piraino of Poughkeepsie, New York, daughter Angela Harelick and husband Michael of Kingston, New York and is also survived by his grandchildren Stephen Kampher and wife Karinna of Texas, and Lesliann Piraino of Poughkeepsie, New York, great grandchildren Nicholas Jordan of Poughkeepsie, New York, Hunter Kampher of Texas, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents George was predeceased by his brother James Perry. Funeral services will also be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Saint Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie New York.
