Obituary of Rae North

Rae North, a resident of Poughkeepsie passed away on December 8, 2018.

She was 99 1/2 YEARS OLD. Rae was born on June 7, 1919 in Yonkers New York, the daughter of the late Abraham Abel and Sarah Banks Abel.

She was one of the oldest living alumnae of the Fanwood School for the Deaf located in Westchester County and was a graduate of the Lexington School of the Deaf in New York City.

On December 28, 1941 She married Irving North of Brooklyn New York, they were married for 54 years.

Rae is survived by her sons Charles and his wife Joanne of Poughkeepsie New York and Jason and his wife Teresa of Lincoln, California as well as ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

There will be one hour of Visitation from 9am to 10am on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Burial and Funeral services will be private at the Riversville Cemetery in Glenville CT.
