I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Kim's passing. Our years of waitressing at John L's was definitely the best job that I had due to her. We laughed so much it was a wonder that anyone got served dinner. i will always cherish our adventures and shenanigans together. We had the pleasure of watching our boys grow into men. Whitney family, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I grew up in Pleasant Valley and was friends with Chris dating back to Traver Road and PV soccer to AHS and beyond. I remember Mrs. Whitney always being close with his friends and being the nicest, most liked, coolest mom at school. Everyone loved her. I am so sad to hear she was taken from you so early. I am so very sad to hear the news of Kim’s passing. I grew up with her in the Valley. Lots of fond memories come to mind, when I think about Kim. But in the recent past, I would see her before she retired from Arlington. Her school bus route would take her on my road in the morning. I ride my bike to work and lots of time she would be turning onto my road as I was headed towards the rail trail. We would chat for a minute or so and I always enjoyed our short time to talk. She was such sweet, caring person with a wonderful personality! I know how much she will be missed.

I met Kim as we entered kindergarten at Traver Road school in Pleasant Valley. We remained friends throughout school and through the years as we both live in the Pleasant Valley area. Seeing her at local grocery stores always having that big happy face smile is something that I remember about her.
