Obituary of Charles Gordon Lamoree

Charles Gordon Lamoree of Pleasant Valley, passed away on December 25, 2018, at the age of 84.

Gordon was born on March 8, 1934 in Beacon, N.Y. to the late Robert and Mary Lamoree.

Gordon was employed as a Coorections Officer at Green Haven Prison for 25 years, retiring in 1981 and he also worked at the Poughkeepsie Journal Newspaper for many years.

In 1976 he married the love of his life, Valerie, and together they shared 42 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife Valerie, his children Irene Biomead (Eric) Levittown, PA, Robert Michael Lamoree of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., James Lamoree (Meaghan Oberne) of Webster, Florida, Margaret Gould (Doug) of Tampa, Florida, Richard Lamoree (Janet) of Gilbert, Arizona, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren 1 great great grandchild, his brothers Joseph Lamoree of Fishkill, N.Y., Paul Lamoree (Linda) of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Gordon was predeceased by his son Charles Lamoree and his sister Roberta Morgan.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the wonderful people who helped us through our long journey over the years, Gordons caregiver's Maria Menjivar, Gail Phillips, Becky Awe, the staff of Mid Hudson Regional Home Health Sevices and Hospice of Dutchess County.

Calling Hours will be held Sunday December 30, 2018 from 1pm to 4pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.

Funeral Serives will be held 11am Monday December 31, 2018 at the Funeral Home with Burial to Follow at Union Cemetery Hyde Park, New York.
