My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Joan's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with Joan many years ago at Greer Woodycrest Children's Services in Millbrook, where Joan was charged with overseeing the Maintenance Department, comprised of many hard working men, including my father, Vic Setaro. Joan handled her position with grace, charm and most especially, lots of laughter! She was loved by all who knew her. Rest in peace, pretty lady....I will remember you with great affection.

Dear John and family, please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. I worked with Joan before she and John were married at Fairchild Semiconductor. She was known to us in the company as Lauren Becall because of her poise, beauty, the way she dressed and carried herself. She was a lady in every sense of the word but also knew how to put you in your place, should the need arise, in a very polite way. She was one of my best friends and a mentor during the years we worked together. She loved a good joke and could tell one just as easily as laugh at one. I remember when she met John. I didn't know her first husband and didn't get to know John as Fairchild closed and we went our separate ways but I do know that John was the love of her life. All one had to do was ask about him and she lit up like a big candle. She will be missed by everyone she came in contact with, spoke to, listened to, gave advise to, consoled when they needed it, laughed or cried with. All of the aforesaid is what she was to me and more. She was truly loved. By everyone. Especially me.
