I think of you often Teddy, still cant believe you're not with us anymore. We lost a great person and an amazing cop when we lost you my brother. I miss are occasional text messages and phone calls. I still have our texts saved on my phone. If you see my son, wrap your arms around him and give him a big hug for me. Love you brother !!!

As a NYSP Investigator I shared many investigations with Teddy. He was a star to work with and an awesome guy! My prayers and love go to Teddy's family. Bless them all and thank you Ted for some great memories!

To my best friend, protector, dance partner, brother I never had. I could not bring myself to go to your services. Our phone conversation was so perfect last month that’s how I want to remember you. What’s it been, 35 plus years we’ve been friends. You had a beautiful life Teddy. Full of love, your children and grandchildren, and so many friends I’m having a hard time accepting this reality. It’s hard to let you go. I think I thought you would always be there. Love you, miss you, Heaven Is lucky to have you.

Teddy was my very first work supervisor.. We build a real genuine friendship.... After that first summer Teddy told me about another youth program and recommended I sign up for employment...I went there and I was hired on the spot. I couldnt wait to Thank him for the headsup and the many many other acts of kindness he showed me over many yrs.. At any time, if I had any questions or concerns about anything, I didnt hesitate to look up my long time friend.... They'll never be another Teddy Alston in my eyes..... Gone but never forgotten....

My condolences to the family and the police depart. I remember my Teddy when he was a Poughkeepsie police officer. He always spoke and ask was I all right. He was a great cop and all around nice person.
