To the Burrow family and Lizbeth,
Evan meant the world to us as a dear friend over the years and we will miss him more than I can put down in words. He was more of a brother than a friend and was always there with a big hug and smile anytime we got together. I cannot say all the things I'd like to here but when we're together I know we can share all of the great times we had. Betsey and I wanna share our condolences with you and your family. Evan was a great guy and I fondly remember our Friday afternoon happy hours. I remember one particular afternoon at my house where Evan interacted with my child Sam and how she commented what a great guy he was and stated she wish she could have him as a teacher.

Lizbeth, my heart breaks for you. Evan and I only spoke at length a few times, but he was so friendly, it was easy to feel a connection as we discussed our shared Hudson Valley roots, hiking, and his perseverance through treatment. He was wonderful to talk to, and such a genuinely good guy. Lizbeth...I am so sorry for the passing of Evan. He was a terrific person and a great teacher to our kids at LHS. I was privileged to have had a few great conversations with Evan at school. I was very impressed with his friendly and gentle personality...just what we need more of in this world. I am so sorry to hear of Evan's passing.
I would visit my nephews regularly and Evan was a big part of "the boys"...like a big brother to the three of them.
I enjoyed watching Evan grow up and remember the joy in his eyes when he spoke of Lizbeth...and I was so happy for him that he found that special someone.
I also remember him coming home from college and visiting...what an outstanding young man he was becoming and spoke of his teaching plans. I had hopes he would return to the area to teach other family members...he seemed to have that gift.
And I remember one particular visit when he brought his niece over and let her climb the tree...he was ever attentive to make sure she was enjoying herself but safe.
Evan will certainly be missed but it comforts me to know he is now at peace.
