Obituary of Frank G. Cassidy

Frank G. Cassidy passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on Saturday June 6,  2020.

Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 10, 1922, he was the son of Frank and Lulu May Wood Cassidy.

Frank was a graduate of PACE University and served in WWII in the CBI Theatre.

On October 5, 1957 Frank married Joan Lawson she predeceased him on November 2, 2016.

Frank was a retired Credit Analyst for Dunn and Bradstreet.

Frank was a member of the Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church, Ossining Historical Society, and the Ossining United Methodist Church where he was a trustee for 40 years.

Frank loved to read, loved history, writing and baseball. Frank also enjoyed going to his grandchildren's sporting events and attending his Tuesday morning men's group at PUMC.

Frank is survived by his three children: Peter Cassidy, Laura Cassidy her fiancé Richard O’Connor, Debbie Cassidy her husband Vincent Polletta and two grandchildren Matthew Polletta and Christopher Polletta.

There are no calling hours and cremation has taken place.  Contributions in his memory can be made in his name to any environmental organization, Ossining Historical Society or Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church.

The family will have a  celebration of his life when this COVID crisis is over.  An Obituary in the Poughkeepsie Journal and Journal News to follow.  We will also provide date on this website.
