We thank God every day for the Blessing of having Cooper (Our Brother) in our lives. If God gave us another chance to turn back time, without thinking about it, we would truly choose him as our brother again. We shall never forget his smile and the big heart he had for everyone. My husband was Steve's watch commander and I was a fellow CO. We both enjoyed working with Steve. He was always there if you needed him, and he always had your back. He always had a smile and was sure to make you laugh. He will be greatly missed.

I worked with Coop a couple of times when I was working in Green Haven, he was always helpful and available to assist everyone. He was a bright happy friend, always willing to share his smile and his laugh. Rest in Peace my friend. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Rest in Peace Coop! You were the ultimate 3-11 roundsman! You made sure (when I was a newjack in 1982) us rookie officers were safe and had food to eat if we were on doubles.......I worked the Haven for 15 years and you had a smile every single day/night I ever saw you !!!!!!! You made working the prison much more tolerable with your always positive attitude! Gonna miss ya !
