In April of this year, my wife and I moved next door to Huckleberry bar, having relocated to NYC from Texas for work. Jeffrey was the very first person we met upon arriving to the city; my wife was out walking the dog when Jeffrey started chuckling at our dog's funny, awkward poop strut. After that, we started frequenting Huckleberry bar regularly, always saying hello to Jeffrey and sitting in the backyard for a socially-distanced cocktail. Jeffrey's kindness and good humor radiated out of him even in those brief moments of knowing him. I was very sad to hear about his passing. His presence will be missed even by those who barely knew him.

His smile was one of Jeffrey's legacies. Jeff was a student of mine at RCK and played baseball on a Town of Poughkeepsie LL team I coached. Always upbeat, he brightened Room 126 with his well timed humor. He made me a happier teacher. With his constant efforts to improve his play and support his teammates, Jeff made me a proud coach.
