I APOLIGIZE TO ALL THE FAMILY & FRIENDS THAT I WAS NOT ABLE TO ATTEND THE TRIBUTE FOR CHUCK. HE WAS
AN EXCEPTIONAL PERSON ,WITH MORE LOVE IN HIS HEART THAN MOST I HAVE EVER MET. I HAD THE PRIVILEDGE OF DEALING WITH HIM THROUGH THE 1970'S AND EARLY & MID 80'S AT THE YARD. MY BROTHER, KEVIN ,ALSO HAS MORE MEMORIES OF HIS LOVE FOR PEOPLE AND EXPLOITS NOT ONLY AT THE YARD BUT ALSO HIS OTHER ENDEAVORS IN PLAYING BALL,RACING,AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.MORE THAN THAT,HE LISTENED TO PEOPLE & DID WHAT HE COULD FOR THEM TO ENJOY LIFE & MAKE THEIR LIVES BETTER.VERY RECENTLY HE ENHANCED MY BROTHER'S VINTAGE BASEBALL CARD COLLECTION,
I CANNOT STRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF ALL HIS FAMILY HAS DONE FOR MY FAMILY IN THE PAST 5 YEARS ALSO.
HAVING MET PAT ,JESSE, BRIAN, AND ALL AT THE YARD,THEY ARE A LEGACY THAT REMAINS FOREVER, THANK YOU CHUCK FOR INSTILLING YOUR INFLUENCE UPON US ALL. ENJOY YOUR NEW BEGININGS OF A LIFE WITHOUT PAIN & A WHOLE NEW BODY.
THOUGH ALL WILL MISS YOU & MAY GREIVE AT TIMES,WE CELEBRATE HAVING KNOWN YOU .
AND AGAIN I SAY TO THE FAMILY, GOD BLESS YOU & MAY YOUR SADNESS TURN TO JOY ,KNOWING YOU WILL BE WITH HIM AGAIN. PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL.
CHUCK CALLAGHAN & FAMILY & KEVIN CALLAGHAN

I grew up knowing Chuck as my father had a service station and his dad had the junkyard. They were also both in the Roosevelt Fire Company. I then spent many years playing softball with Chuck and against him. The final time we played together in the Pok City League we won the League Championship with Chuck pitching all the playoff games. We then played in many golf outings with Chuck winning some and we winning some. His last softball effort was in the Pok Senior Softball league. He sponsored our softball team in Cape Cod for many years, winning the 65+ division in 2014. Throughout all of the years it was a privilege to call Chuck my friend. His enthusiasm and friendliness to all will be missed.

I remember visiting the car lot and the car crusher! I think uncle Chuck let us even push the button too! It was so impressive as a little kid, I think it would be impressive even now as a adult too. Uncle Chuck was always ready with a joke or a laugh and he truly delighted in creating other people’s (especially us kids) joyful experiences. Whenever I was around him I remember thinking “what’s gonna be next, whatever it is will be fun and probably mischievous”. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Chuck, I see you driving off in your convertible, one last smile, a wave, and probably cracking a dirty joke, saying "Come on, that was funny!". This makes me smile, but also makes me miss you all the more. We will hold you in our hearts forever.

I’ve known Chuck my whole adult life, but my favorite time I remember with him was when he and Patti came with Barb and I to this impossibly small place in the middle of the Sand Hills - Arthur, Nebraska - to witness the full lunar eclipse of the sun in 2017. Lying back on the grass of the fairgrounds during the full darkness of the eclipse, he quipped to Patti “Hey, we got time for a quicky?”
I really miss you, Chuck. Rest In Peace.

I graduated FDR HS with Chuck in 1970. I was so saddened when hearing of his passing. I played one year of football with him on JV team in 10th grade and he was an excellent player. Saw him at one of our class reunions in the 1980's. Still outgoing and friendly! I know he was planning on attending our 50 year reunion which would have been held in September of this year but was postponed until Sept. of 2021 due to COVID. We'll miss you Chuck. May you rest in peace! Jeff Hamm, Roswell, GA.

My first meeting with Chuck was at Alpine Lake where he immediately took a shine to my dog Duke. He carried biscuits in his pocket for the dogs and made fast friends with Duke! When I told him Duke had food allergies he went right out and got some different bones for Duke. Such a friendly, sweet man. So sorry for your, and our, loss. Though we knew him only briefly he will be fondly remembered
