Obituary of Agnes L. Hilson

Agnes L. DeFreese Hilson, 84, a resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, went home to rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY.

Agnes was born on December 24, 1936 to David Roe Wheeler DeFreese and Mabel Juanita Phillip DeFreese. Agnes attended school in Middletown and retired from Park Manor Nursing Home, Middletown, NY. Agnes loved crafts such as sewing, crocheting and making little

knick-knacks.

Agnes was predeceased by her mother Mabel Juanita Phillip DeFreese, step mother Julia A. Bailey DeFreese, sister Juanita Delores DeFreese DeGroat, brother David Percel DeFreese (Sonny), husband Tom W. Hilson, Jr., mother-in-law Rosa, father-in-law Tom W. Hilson, Sr, sisters-in-law Helen Hilson Andreas, Louise Hilson Smith, Thelma Hilson McClean, Francis Hilson Mack, Armenthia Hilson Parker, Annie Mae Hilson Alexander, Edith and brothers-in-law George Hilson, Willie James Hilson, Sr., Frank Hilson, Leroy Hilson, Otis Hilson, C.W. Hilson also surviving 1 daughter Teresa Hilson McGue of Poughkeepsie, NY, 2 granddaughters Tasha L. Herring of Fishkill, NY and Tamarra Hilson of Poughkeepsie, NY, 2 great grandsons SGT Nyree N. Mont of Hawaii and Tyreese J.J. Mont of Poughkeepsie, 1 great great granddaughter Naylani of Hawaii and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A private burial will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Town of Lloyd Cemetery with family and close friends.
