Obituary of Timothy Heaton

Timothy Heaton, 54 of Millbrook, NY passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Timothy was born on April 10, 1966 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Theodore and Joan Gabber Heaton.

A local resident all his life, Timothy received his Masters Degree in Reading from Geneseo and Cortland College. He was a Teacher at Marvelwood School in Kent, CT. Timothy was an Orton-Gillingham practitioner, a method of teaching reading to dyslexic students.  He was well liked by students and co-workers.

Timothy loved sports and was a member of St. Stanislaus Church. He is survived by his parents, brothers Michael Heaton of Troy, NY, Matthew (Jennifer) Heaton of Maryland, nephew Tommy and two nieces Holly and Libby.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at St. Stanislaus Church, 1590 Main St. Pleasant Valley, NY 12569.
