The Callo Family is so very saddened by the news of "Uncle John's" passing. John and his late wife Denise were the very best aunt and uncle and loved our children as if they were their own. We will never forget the emotion that John shared when we asked him to be Laynie's godfather. He delighted in watching Laynie and Freddie's many sporting events over the years and celebrating their birthdays as he too was part of the "June Baby" club. John always filled the room with charisma and laughter at every family and holiday celebration. If he was there, you never wanted the party to end! Though under tremendous stress as caretaker for many years for both is wife and mother, John exhibited nothing but steadfast compassion and loyalty to both of them. He was a kind and generous husband, uncle, friend, brother and son. Our lives will never be the same without him in it! We wish him joy and peace as he is welcomed into heaven. We love and miss you always Uncle John!

Many wonderful early memories between John, Eileen and I. Young kids, I occasionally babysat for their parents (Carolyn & Jack). We just laughed a lot, shot pool in the basement, swam in the pool and enjoyed ice cream. John sure has a great smile and laugh. John you will always be in my heart. Mia Manna

John was truly one of a kind and so good to be around at family gatherings. He always kept us laughing. We have great memories of camping with John and Denise and will always cherish the week they came to see us in Florida with Maureen in 2009. Our faith leaves us a picture of John and Denise in a better place with no pain and a peace that can never be felt on this earth. May God bless them both.
