Obituary of Charles E Porter

Charles "Chuck" E. Porter, Jr., 63  of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at home on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Chuck was born on July 11, 1957 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Charles E. Porter, Sr. and the former Ida M. Haines. He married Elizabeth S. Dorn on October 1, 1994 in Poughkeepsie, NY and survives at home. A local resident all his life, Chuck was employed as a laborer with Local 1000. He loved to recue animals.

In addition to his wife, Chuck is survived by his stepson Guy Alexander of Poughkeepsie, NY, sister Penny Fontaine of East Windsor, CT, sister Rose Callihan of Columbus, OH, brother & sister-in-law Darin (Debbie) Porter, goddaughter Danielle Fontaine Luis as well as many nieces & nephews.    

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 with a Funeral Service at 11:30am. Due to allergies, If you wish to attend the visitation, please no flowers, perfumes, cologne, aftershave or essential oils. Burial is private.
