Obituary of Yolanda M Debellis
Yolanda M. DeBellis (Lonnie) passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital.
Lonnie was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on January 11, 1944, to Thomas and Anna Caruso
DeBellis. She attended Mt Carmel School and graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in
June, 1961.
Lonnie joined IBM in 1966. She began her career in the Legal Department as a secretary; and
after holding several positions, one being Executive Secretary to the VP and General Manager of
Manufacturing, she was promoted to Manager in the Administrative Service Center. She went
on to manage in Manufacturing and was promoted to Senior Planner in the Laboratory, where
she retired in 1993. Once retired, she received her paralegal certificate from Marist College and
worked for SDI for over 10 years, handling the contracts for sub-contractors who worked for
IBM.
In addition to her parents, Lonnie was predeceased by her brother, Michael DeBellis, her sister,
Antoinette Lattanzio and her brothers-in-law, Thomas Ranalli, Savino Lattanzio and Edward
Ossolinski. She is survived by her sister Mary Ranalli, brother Thomas A. DeBellis (Carole),
Lagrangeville, sister Gloria Ossolinski, and brother Robert DeBellis (Marie), Raleigh, NC. She
is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many great nieces, great nephews and many cousins.
Lonnie loved to travel in the US as well as in Europe. She loved going to the beach and Lonnie
spent many summers going to the Rhode Island and Cape Cod beaches with her family, as well
as going to Long Beach Island with her friends, playing Mahjong and going to the casinos. She
enjoyed family gatherings, whether it be holidays, birthdays or our annual family reunion which
was held every summer.
Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, May 13, from 3-5 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mt. Carmel
Church, 95 Mill Street, Poughkeepsie, NY on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny
