Obituary of Paul M. Lenci

Paul M. Lenci, 70, of Poughkeepsie died on June 25, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Paul had been a resident of the Hudson Valley since 1980.

He was born to Reno P. and Katherine (Cheron) Lenci on September 13, 1950 in Yonkers, NY. He married the love of his life, Barbara, on May 22, 1972. Barbara predeceased him on August 9, 2019.

For many years, Paul was the Assistant Principal and then Principal of Mahopac Middle School. When he retired, he went to work for the National Park Service as a Park Ranger, working primarily at the FDR site in Hyde Park, NY.

Paul was a selfless volunteer and was a member of the Lagrange Lions Club among other organizations. He played the bass drum and was a lifelong member of the NY Ancients Fife and Drum Corp. Paul was a kind and thoughtful gentleman who lived life to the fullest. He was the most caring Papa to his grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his two daughters Andrea (Tom) and Alison (Nick). Paul is also survived by his three beloved grandchildren Henry, Sam and Vera.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10am Thursday July 1st at St Mary's Church Poughkeepsie, New York. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
