Obituary of Darren Joseph Palmatier

Darren Joseph Palmatier, 31, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on July 10, 2021. He was born on June 16, 1990, in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Thomas and Catherine M. (Ravesi) Palmatier.

Darren was a local resident all of his life. He was a 2009 graduate of Spackenkill High School and received an Associate Degree in Health and Fitness from Dutchess Community College.

Darren was currently working as a Shipping Administrator for Howmet Aero Space in Kingston, NY.

Darren enjoyed hiking, playing guitar and lifting weights. Darren had a love for animals especially the family dog Max and his cat Bella.

Survivors include his mother and step father Catherine M. and Garvin Wells of Poughkeepsie, NY, his sister and brother in-law Colleen and Arjan Reesink of the UK, his brother Brian Wells of Beacon, NY, his brother Duane Palmatier and his wife Jennifer Gifford of Boulder, CO, his brother Garvin Wells III of Torrington, CT, his maternal grandmother Mary Ravesi  Wappingers Falls, NY, his paternal grandparents Thomas and Betty Palmatier  Murrells Inlet, SC. and his niece Audrey Reesink. He also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
 

There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
 

Graveside Service will be held July 24, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
