I was deeply saddened when I learned of Elaine's passing while checking Facebook to see if she responded to the birthday greeting I sent in June. When we lived across the street from her in Poughkeepsie, NY, Elaine was kind and loving towards my 3 preschool children, and was always happy to help whenever I needed a trusted person to watch them. My children loved her and, even after we moved to North Carolina, she never forgot their birthdays or special occasions while they were growing up. She was a thoughtful and generous friend who will be sorely missed. From Janet, Richard, Jenny, Jeremy and Rich: Rest peacefully in The Lord's arms, Elaine.

Elaine, was kind hearted and looked out for others. Here's an example. We happened to be at a Dinner for C.O's She with her Dad. I with my husband. Lovely plants were given to the guests and while I was away from my seat and plant ,another woman came over and switched plants. Elaine saw this and took the plant back while chastising her! Kudos to Elaine. I worked in another department but knew Elaine and smile! God Bless. Maureen
