Obituary of Helen A. Dubraski

Helen Banker DuBraski a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., died on August 12, 2021, at the wise age of 103.

She was born in Alpha, N.J., the daughter of Stephen and Julia Benke. Helen worked at both Western Publishing, Inc., and Kem Playing Cards for a number of years. On August 30, 1939 she married John M. DuBraski at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

They had three children, Robert J. DuBraski Sr. (Poughkeepsie), Marilyn DuBraski McPeck (Deceased), and John M. DuBraski Jr. (Naples, Florida).  Helen is survived by her two sons. Also, surviving are six grandchildren, Robert  Jr.,  Jason, Kelly, Scott, Jennifer, and Rachel; Nine great grandchildren, Gage, Kenna, Kayleigh, Cecelia, Amanda, Rebecca, Madison, Ryan, and Madeline; Three great great grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, and Julian.

She was predeceased by her husband John in 1997, her daughter Marilyn in 2002, and son-in-law William McPeck in 2011, her grandson Michael McPeck in 2011. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 11:30am on Thursday August 19, 2021, at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12pm following visitation at Holy Trinity Church 775 Main Street Poughkeepsie, New York. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York.
