Obituary of Quraan Smith

Quraan Isreal Smith Born August, 29. 2005 At Vassar brothers hospital  to Mr. Everton Lamont Smith and Mrs. Na'tara Smith Departed this life at the tender age of 16 at Midhudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie,  New York. Quraan Attended and did his Academic Studies at Arlington High School as a Junior Scholar.  He had a passionate love for sports which began with Poughkeepsie Pop- Warner football Association,  Although he played many positions he was a superb running back #44. He then continued his love for sports playing basketball for several organizations in the community such as Holy Trinity (AAU). Quraan Was also known to his family as "Budda" and to his friends as "Ron",  He will always be remembered as the Handsome, Intelligent, Respectful Young man with the beautiful smile that was contagious to all who he encountered,  Being in this world for only 16 years he had a inspiring  Impact on so many of his family and friends.  Left to cherish fond memories his loving parents Everton Lamont Smith and Na'tara Smith of Poughkeepsie New York. Two brothers  EzaKyle Smith and Everton Smith Jr.  One Sister Mi-Rose Smith all of the Poughkeepsie New York.   Maternal Grandmother Helen Lyons of Poughkeepsie New York, Maternal Grandfather Nathan Bush (Pearl)  Of Manassas, VA. Maternal Great- Grandmother Geraldine Dancy of Poughkeepsie New York.  Paternal Grandmother Angela Newman of Poughkeepsie New York. Paternal Grandfather Everton Borham of Bronx, New York.  Three uncles  Daquan Johnson of Syracuse, New York.  Alonzo Newman and Isaiah Newman (Thiresa) Both of  Poughkeepsie New York. Four Aunts Letisha Hill (David)  Of Syracuse, New York. Asia Bush of Newburgh, New York. April Smith -Jackson (Daniel)  And Nykea Johnson  Both of Poughkeepsie, New York. One nephew that he adored D'yari Blackwell -Smith.  Two Special cousins Ja-ki Jackson and Nathaniel Nolan.  A Very Special friend Jesse Marie.  He was predeceased by his Precious sister Ja-lisa Smith,  Maternal Great -Grandfathers  Jesse Alston, Andrew Dancy and Nathan Bush Sr. and Maternal Great-Grandmother Geraldine Bush. Paternal Greatgrand Parents  George and Rosalie Smith. A Special Aunt Corlisa Smith.Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 28, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Beth-El Church located at 91 Hooker Ave in Poughkeepsie New York. Services will be officiated by Pastor Hunt at 12:00pm, and the burial is to follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. The Funeral Arrangments and Services are under the direct Supervision of Ryan P. Doyle of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home.
