Obituary of Tony Rosario

“Tony”  Miguel Antonio Rosario born December 25, 1943 passed away at the young age of 77 on September 22, 2021. He is pre-deceased by his parents Carmen Velez and Miguel Rosario Malave.
Tony grew up in Manhattan on 125th St. and Broadway. He graduated from Cardinal Hayes high school for boys. On April 2, 1966 he married the girl next-door Emily Rosado. They moved to the suburbs where they started their family. Tony had a few careers in his lifetime. He started out at IBM as a senior lab technician for 30 years until his retirement. During his time there he also loved to play baseball and was an awesome shortstop for the IBM league. Tony had many interests. He was an amazing artist. The images he created with a charcoal pencil and a sketchbook were truly works of art. Photography was another hobby/job that he thoroughly enjoyed  and was quite good at. Tony also had a passion for the martial arts. He earned his black belt in karate and opened Tri-County karate school which was a huge part of our lives as a family and was well respected in the karate community. Years later in keeping with the mind-body connection he became certified as a personal trainer and massage therapist. He loved to help people be the best they could be through his work and was considered a father figure, big brother and all-around good friend to everyone who knew him. Tony was a member of the NRA and an accomplished shooter. And we can’t deny what a dog lover he was. He leaves behind a huge void in the lives of many and will be missed by all. Tony is survived by Emily, his devoted wife of 55 years and mother to their 5 children: Annette, Joanne, Anthony, Sandra, and Kim. His sons-in-law Charly,  Brett and Rich. Along with his 12 grand children: Erick, Emily, Lucia, Serena, Christian, Charlee, Juliet, Xavier, Zander, Liam, Lukah and a baby girl on the way. And last but not least his Beloved dog Lola. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 29, 2021 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home. Services will be held at Holy Trinity Church on Thursday September 30, 2021 at 11:30am. At the request of the family all visitors are asked to wear masks.
