Obituary of Leonidas G. Efstratiou

Leonidas G. Efstratiou, of Hyde Park, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the Wingate at Ulster in Highland, NY. Louie was born in Xanthi, Greece to the late George and Anastasia Efstratiou.

A resident since 1972, Louie was a Restaurant Owner of the Collegeview Diner, Northside Diner, Sweet Lou's and the Dubliner. He was a Town of Poughkeepsie Republican Committee member, a member of BILC and a board member of Pan Gregorian Enterprises. Louis was also a member of Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church.

Louie is survived by Barbara Efstratiou, daughters Staci Efstratiou of Hyde Park, NY, Alexandra Efstratiou of Brooklyn, NY, son George Efstratiou of Brooklyn, NY, brother Angelo Efstratiou of Xanthi, Greece, nephew Mike Gkoutoumis, nieces Sasa Gkoutoumis, Roula and Tasoula Efstratiou. Louie is predeceased by his sister Eva Gkoutoumis.

Calling hours are Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 2pm to 6pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Funeral Service will be held during Visitation at 5pm at the Funeral Home. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family.
