My sincere condolences to the family and friends. Dawn is/was one of the first to welcome me into the Fire Department. She was dedicated in everything she did and was fun to have around. One other thing she did was support me when I was a Fire Commissioner. Dawn will truly be missed.

We will have many fond memories of Dawn. Perhaps the most enduring will be of the Perseid meteor shower, which seems to occur during the visits to Lake Lure. One particularly relevant memory was everyone going across the street of the old house to sit with cocktails on the back porch of the unsuspecting neighbor to watch them well into the night. We will always think of Dawn during the annual Perseid meteor shower. Jeff and Nancy

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Dawn's family, she was taken way too soon. May your memories help you through this difficult time. She was a real spitfire. I have some very fond memories of spending time with Dawn and my sisters at the family cottage on Cape Cod. Her and my sister, Jean, could keep us laughing. They were like a comedy duo. Heaven will be a brighter place with her in it. Rest in Peace Dawn!
