Obituary of Moses L. Pittman
Moses L. Pittman, 80, of Verbank N.Y. passed away on January 28, 2022. He was born on March 3, 1941, in Whitakers, North Carolina to the late Jerry and the late Alberta Pittman.
He worked at Security and Bond maintenance corp. IBM, JC Penny, Interfaith Towers and George cleaning service
Owner of Mo-Town Records shop, 468 main street, Poughkeepsie. He was a local resident for many years.
A member of Stars of Harmony Gospel group, Gospel Hi- Notes, sang in Beulah Baptist choir, Full Gospel Ctr. choir, Lagrange, N.Y., Reach Out Family Worship Ctr.,Hyde Park, N.Y.,
Moses played softball for the city and Town of Poughkeepsie, he loved dartball and bowling. He loved his music and karaoke and sang numerous places.
Moses was predeceased by 4 brothers, Barry and Jerry Pittman, Poughkeepsie N.Y. Ernest and Ella Ray Cutchins, Poughkeepsie N.Y. 3 sisters, Clarine Battle of Rocky Mount N.C., Annie Mae of Whitakers, N.C., Ernestine Brown of Poughkeepsie N.Y., he is survived by his sister Vera Harvey of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Moses is survived by his wife Margaret M. Siskavich, his 14 children Angela Farmer, Greenville, N.C. Gloria G, Karen K., Kevin K., Lovern M., Reginald E., Anthony Q, Pittman from Rocky Mount N.C. Hyshon J. Pittman Portland Maine, John L. Pittman, Merritt Island, Florida, Gean L., Taliyan T., Twyla J., Tara L., Taressa M. Pittman, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren
He was predeceased by his son William (Pumpkin) Johnson of Poughkeepsie,N.Y.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie N.Y. Interment will take place in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetary, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. followed by a celebration of life Luncheon at Christian Life Church, 18 Bancroft rd. Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
