Obituary of Mauro Florio

Mauro J. Florio, 94, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away at home on Friday, March 11, 2022. Mauro was born on September 11, 1927 in Manhattan, NY to the late Nicholas and Nicoletta Bennideto Florio. He married Elvira Florio at the Holy Rosary Parish in Staten Island, NY on April 23, 1950. She predeceased him on March 18, 2015.  Survivors include daughter Claire Sullivan and her husband Robert from Poughkeepsie NY, Son Nicholas Florio and his fiancé Katharine Rinaudo of Tampa Florida, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A local resident since 2005, Mauro was previously employed prior to his retirement in Maintenance at Carmel Richmond Nursing Home in Staten Island, NY.
