Obituary of Shawn Patrick Daubman

Shawn Patrick Daubman, 39, of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2022. Shawn was born to John and Sandra Daubman on July 20, 1982, in Poughkeepsie, NY.

He is survived by his loving children Jake and Leo, and their mother, Jessica Mojica, of the Town of Poughkeepsie. He also leaves behind his mother Sandra Daubman, of Franklinton, NC,  his beloved sisters and their spouses, Kimberly and Christopher Gardner of LaGrangeville, NY, and Traci and Ryan Wallner, of Northbridge, MA, in addition to 7 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John Daubman, of Franklinton, NC.

Shawn is a graduate of Arlington High School and was a successful entrepreneur in the contracting field, taking great pride in his multitude of skills in a variety of trades. Shawn

was very family-oriented and took tremendous pride in fatherhood.  He found joy in the outdoors and recreational activities, and he loved teaching his sons, nieces, and nephews to camp and fish.  He shared his passion for sports with others and coached the local youth football team.

All who knew Shawn know that had a warm heart and always put others before himself. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and would give the shirt off his back to do so. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.  We find comfort knowing he is at peace with his dad and our Lord in Heaven.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 9th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie New York.

A funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, June 10th at 9:30 am at St. Martin De Porres Church, Poughkeepsie, NY.
