Obituary of John P. Moustakas

John P. Moustakas, 64, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on June 20, 2022, at the Grand of Poughkeepsie. He was born on November 23, 1957, in Yonkers, New York to the late Anthony G. and the late Rose (Pergamelis) Moustakas.

He was an Owner for Moustakas Driveway and Tennis Court Sealing in Pleasant Valley. John was a local resident most of his life previously from Yonkers, New York.
John was a member of Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church in Poughkeepsie. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department and served as a Rescue Lieutenant and was Captain of the Rescue Squad from 1990 to 1992, he loved to race, loved music, singing and performing Karaoke at shows that his family put on over the years but most important to John was being with his grandchildren.
Survivors include son Thomas Moustakes and his girlfriend Ashley DePolito of Tivoli New York, grandchildren Ben, Nicholas, Sophia, Thomas's mom Pamela Moustakas Pleasant Valley, sister's Athena Moustakas, Letsa Moustakas Mirones, Dena Moustakas, brother Harry Moustakas, Patricia Magurno who John had a long relationship with and her children Daryl, Kristen, Joseph and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
John is predeceased by his three brothers Matthew, Paul and Nicholas.

His Funeral Services will be held June 24, 2022, at 1:00 PM from Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY.

Friends may call on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.

Interment will take place in St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
