Obituary of Joyce MacGhee Powers

Joyce MacGhee Powers, 90, of Pleasant Valley, NY passed away surrounded by her family on July 30, 2022. She was born on January 21, 1932 in New Paltz, New York to the late Kenneth and the late May M. Kniffen MacGhee.

Joyce was a local resident all of her life. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and she attended Dutchess Community College
Joyce was retired from the Bank of New York were she was the Bank Manager.

In 1974 in Poughkeepsie, Joyce married James Powers he predeceased her.

Joyce was a member of the Arlington Reform Church and she also was a Sunday School Teacher there.

Joyce loved cooking, baking, sewing, she loved to plant flowers and do gardening and loved her dogs.
Survivors include Son and daughter in-law Kevin and Donna Beehler  South Carolina, William K. Beehler and fiancé Laura LaScala  Highland New York, Son and daughter in-law Kenneth and Myvan Beehler Pleasant Valley New York, daughter Jennifer Stewart  Florida, daughter Jacqueline Vosburgh Poughkeepsie New York, grandchildren Tara Beehler, Amanda Vosburgh, Paige Vosburgh, Cameron Stewart, great grandchildren Nicholas Johnson, Skylar VanTassell, Emma VanTassell and Macy Stewart.

Joyce was predeceased by her son in-laws Scott Stewart, James Vosburgh and daughter in-law Kathleen Beehler.
Her Funeral Services will be held August 3, 2022 at 11:30 AM from Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
Interment will take place in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.

Memorial Donations May be made in Joyce's name to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or to the DCASPCA Route 9G Hyde Park New York 12538
